Email Template Builder Removal in Gov Cloud

Why was this decision made?
The message rendition service powering the Email Template Builder translates flexipages comprised of drag-and-drop Lightning components into static HTML for use in emails.

This service was determined to be incompatible with the unique environmental requirements of Gov Cloud. As a result, existing and new Gov Cloud customers don’t have access to the Email Template Builder.

What does this mean for building email templates?
Email Templates can still be created, edited and managed in Gov Cloud but only when using the WYSIWYG editor, as the drag-and-drop components and builder format isn’t available. Using the WYSIWYG editor, users can still create templates with related message content.

What does this mean for my existing assets built using the Email Template Builder?
Existing email templates and email content records created via the Email Template Builder builder can only be edited by using the WYSIWYG editor.
