Quip Verification Email: What It Is and How to Resend It

Дата публикации: Aug 11, 2026
Описание

When a new user is invited to your Quip site, Quip sends them a verification email to confirm their email address and activate their account. Without completing this verification, the user cannot log in to Quip. This article explains what the verification email looks like, the most common reasons users do not receive it, and how administrators can resend the invitation.

What the Verification Email Contains

The verification email comes from noreply@quip.com and includes:

  • The name of the person who invited them and the Quip site name
  • A button or link to accept the invitation and set a password
  • The email address the invitation was sent to

The verification link expires after 7 days. If the user does not click the link within 7 days, the link becomes invalid and they will need a new invitation.

Example: A new sales hire receives a Quip invitation from their IT administrator but accidentally archives the email. When they try to join Quip later, the link has expired. Their IT admin resends the invitation from the Quip Admin Console, and the new hire completes account setup using the fresh link.

Why Users May Not Receive the Verification Email

If a user reports not receiving the verification email, check the following before resending:

  • Spam or junk folder: The email from noreply@quip.com may be filtered. Ask the user to search all mail folders including spam.
  • Email domain filtering: Some organizations block external emails from unfamiliar senders. Ask the user's IT team to allowlist quip.com and noreply@quip.com.
  • Incorrect email address: Confirm the email address entered when the invitation was sent matches the user's actual email address exactly, including capitalization.
  • Expired link: If more than 7 days have passed since the invitation, resend a new one.

How to Resend a Verification Email

  1. Open the Quip Admin Console and go to Site Members.
  2. Find the user whose verification is pending. Unverified users are shown with a Pending status.
  3. Click on the user's name to open their profile.
  4. Click Resend Invitation. A new verification email is sent immediately to their email address.

Note: Resending the invitation does not change the user's email address or any other account settings — it only sends a fresh activation link.
