"Error: You've exceeded the allowed number of attempts." When Salesforce MFA Verification Fails Multiple Times in Sales/Service

Veröffentlichungsdatum: Dec 10, 2025
Beschreibung

Explains why Agentforce Sales (formerly Sales Cloud) and Agentforce Service (formerly Service Cloud) users receive "Error: You've exceeded the allowed number of attempts." after multiple failed MFA attempts, resulting in a temporary lockout, and details recovery steps.

Lösung

If this error appears, your user account is temporarily locked. Attempt to log in using one of the following methods:

  1. Wait for one hour and try logging in again.
The lockout is automatically unlocked after approximately one hour.

  2. Use a Temporary Verification Code generated by a System Administrator.

  3. If you are using the Salesforce Authenticator app, enter the 6-digit code displayed in the app.

  4. If you have registered multiple MFA verification methods (e.g., another authenticator app or a security key), use one of the alternative verification methods.
