Managed Runtime Admin Account Provisioning for B2C Commerce

The process to provision a Managed Runtime Account differs based on whether the requestor is a Salesforce Customer or a Partner account.

Customers:

a. New Commerce Cloud Customers

1. Customer needs to reach out to their Account Executive (AE) or Customer Success Manager(CSM) while the initial Commerce Cloud contract is being purchased.
2. AE/CSM will communicate with the Product team and inform them about the upcoming Commerce Cloud realm provisioning
3. Once Realm provisioning is complete, the Account Executive (AE) or Customer Success Manager (CSM) will contact the Managed Runtime (MRT) Product team. The MRT Product team will then review the request and provision the Managed Runtime Organization within 1-2 business days.
4. AE/CSM will inform the Customer upon successful Account provisioning 
5. Customer is required to setup the Account Manager role "Managed Runtime User" in order to access the https://runtime.commercecloud.com/

b. Existing Commerce Cloud Customers

1. If the Customer and the Account Executive/Customer Success Manager both feel that the Composable Storefront architecture is a right fit for their project, the Customer can inform the AE to initiate the MRT account provisioning
2.  AE/CSM will reach out to the Product team
3. Product team will review the request
4. Once the team successfully evaluates, the new MRT account will be provisioned within 1-2 Business Days
5. AE will inform the Customer upon successful Account provisioning 
6. Customer is required to setup the Account Manager role "Managed Runtime User" in order to access the https://runtime.commercecloud.com/
7. AE or Success Manager will give an Overview for the Composable Storefront Architecture

Partners:

a. System Integrator Partners

Partners first must complete PWA Kit & Managed Runtime workshop training before being fully provisioned:

1. SI partners sign up their team for upcoming live workshop for PWA Kit and Managed Runtime, via the Enablement Calendar
2. The Managed Runtime trainer will provide the SI team temporary access to Managed Runtime as part of the Salesforce Training organization
3. Once the SI partner successfully completes the live workshop training, the Managed Runtime trainer will let the Product team know which SI partners have successfully completed the training
4. Product team will review and acknowledge the request, and provision the Managed Runtime Account in 3-5 Business Days
5. Partner will have to assign via Account Manager the Managed Runtime User role to users from their own team or their SI team, which will allow them to log into https://runtime.commercecloud.com/ to start and manage their own projects

b. ISV Partners

ISV partners need to be an active LINK partner and have access to Account Manager
