Knowledge Users may report that they are directed back to Knowledge Home or the most recently opened tab in console based apps on publish of an article draft when the option to "Flag as new version" is not selected.
 
Lösning

 
This is expected behavior and working as designed.

When the flag as new version option is not selected, the current published version of the article is deleted and the draft version is published.

When the draft article has been deleted, users are redirected to Knowledge Home or in console apps, the most recently opened tab because there is no article version record for the application to redirect the user.
