Data Import Wizard does not correctly match records by name in Partial Sandbox Copies

Description

Due to Partial Sandbox Copy limitations, part of the internal data used by Data Import Wizard to match records by name may not be copied. Therefore, name matching may not work correctly in some cases.

 

For example, "A developer imports Account records into a Partial Sandbox using Data Import Wizard with 'Match by Name' — some Contacts show blank Account lookups after import even though matching Accounts exist."

Resolution
To avoid this, you can use Full Sandbox Copies or work with smaller data sets in Partial Sandbox Copies.
