Salesforce is currently in the middle of introducing significant changes in the internal architecture of Lightning Experience (LEX). We are transitioning from our Aura Framework to our newer Lightning Web Components (LWC) framework. This move is aimed at improving the performance and user experience of Salesforce's products and services.
As part of this transition, we are migrating our internal components from Aura to LWC. This process is not simple, and will take some time, as all of the different sObjects must be moved over to the new framework individually and some objects are more specialized and challenging to move over.
During this process, customers may notice slight differences in the look and feel of standard components, including standard new, edit, clone, and delete forms. The move to LWC, Salesforce can provide its customers with a faster, more reliable, and more secure platform for their business applications.
The transition is an ongoing, multi-phase process. Salesforce is moving sObjects over one by one, prioritizing high-traffic standard objects first.
