Account Create and Edit Windows Use Record Details from Dynamic Forms in Salesforce CRM (After Summer '23)

Publiseringsdato: Aug 21, 2026
Beskrivelse

Before the Summer '23 release, when the 'Automated Account Fields' option was enabled under Account Settings, Account create and edit windows always displayed fields from the page layout instead of from Dynamic Forms, even if Dynamic Forms was enabled.

Starting in Summer '23, this limitation is removed: the 'Automated Account Fields' setting no longer affects whether Account create and edit windows use Dynamic Forms.

Løsning

This article explains why Salesforce Account create, edit, and clone windows show fields from Dynamic Forms instead of the page layout, and how the 'Automated Account Fields' setting factors in after the Summer '23 release.

Current Behavior (Summer '23 and Later)

After the Summer '23 release, the 'Automated Account Fields' option under Account Settings has no effect on whether Account create and edit windows use Dynamic Forms. If Dynamic Forms is enabled on the Account record page and assigned to the user, the Account create and edit windows show the fields from Dynamic Forms.

This is working as designed.

Account Clone Behavior

The Account Clone window has used record details from Dynamic Forms since the Spring '23 release, ahead of the create and edit window change in Summer '23.

Example Scenario

For example, an admin at a company with 'Automated Account Fields' enabled turns on Dynamic Forms for the Account record page and assigns it to their sales team. Starting in Summer '23, when a sales rep creates or edits an Account, the create/edit window shows the Dynamic Forms field layout rather than the page layout fields, even though 'Automated Account Fields' is still enabled.
