Before the Summer ’23 release, if the “Automated Account Fields” option was enabled under Account Settings, there was a limitation that all of the Account create and edit windows showed the fields from the page layout instead of showing from Dynamic form.
An admin or user enabling Dynamic Forms on Account record pages may notice that the Account create and edit windows still display fields from the page layout rather than from the Dynamic Form. This occurs when the 'Automated Account Fields' option is enabled under Account Settings.
After Summer '23, the 'Automated Account Fields' option has no effect on whether account create and edit windows use Dynamic Forms. If Dynamic Forms is enabled and assigned to the user, account create and edit windows show the fields from Dynamic Forms.
If the dynamic form is enabled and assigned to the user, then account create and edit window will show the fields from the Dynamic forms.
This is working as designed.
Note:
Account Clone window using record details from dynamic forms since Spring '23 release.
