CRM Analytics error "Date field missing canonical dimension. Enable CF field indexing to support this query in SQL"

This error may be encountered when referencing a Date/DateTime field in a SQL query in a CRM Analytics Lens.

For example: SELECT CreatedDate, Amount FROM "Opportunity"

Error: Date field 'CreatedDate' missing canonical dimension. Enable CF field indexing to support this query in SQL
Lösung
Before enabling this feature, please note that this can have a performance impact on dataflow/recipe runtime. Testing in a full copy sandbox to determine the performance impact is highly recommended before enabling this feature in production.

To resolve this error:

1) Enable the option, "Index Date fields in SQL" from Setup > Analytics > Settings
2) Regenerate the dataset after the enablement.

It's very important for the dataset to be recreated. Updating a dataset depends on how the dataset was created which includes either running the recipe or dataflow or uploading as csv file or reconfiguring an app or delete/recreate the app where the dataset was generated from.
