In Salesforce Reports, a bucket field may be automatically removed when a formula field containing special characters — such as a forward slash ( / ) or backslash ( \ ) — is used as the bucket source. This is a known limitation in the Salesforce Reports bucketing feature. This article explains when this behavior occurs and provides a workaround.
TEXT(Account.Industry) + '/' + ' ' + TEXT(Account.Sector__c)There is a known limitation in Salesforce Reports when formula fields that contain special characters — such as a forward slash ( / ) or backslash ( \ ) — are used in the bucketing section. The special characters interfere with the bucket field rendering and cause it to be removed on repeated page refreshes.
To prevent the bucket field from being removed, remove any extra spaces and special characters (such as slashes or backslashes) from the formula field used as the bucket source. For example, update the formula to remove the '/' character and extra spaces before using it as a bucket field.
If modifying the formula field is not an option, consider using a different field (without special characters) as the basis for the bucket.
