Users report that fields are missing or different from the page layout when creating, editing, or cloning a record in Salesforce Lightning Experience.
This is usually the result of using both the Record Detail component and Field Sections (Dynamic Forms) on the same Lightning record page at the same time.
This article explains how to resolve the conflict that happens when both the Record Detail component and Dynamic Forms Field Sections exist on the same Lightning record page, causing fields on create, edit, or clone screens to differ from the assigned page layout.
When users create, edit, or clone a record, the fields shown come from the Field Sections on the page — not from the Record Detail component. This is expected behavior (working as designed). See other considerations in Dynamic Forms Tips and Considerations.
Choose between using the Record Detail component or Field Sections — not both — on the Lightning record page:
A difference in field visibility can also be caused by Visibility Rules added to the Fields or Field Sections component in App Builder. Check these rules if fields are still missing after resolving the Record Detail / Field Sections conflict.
