Reduce CRM Analytics dataset rows by replacing it with one row of csv file data

Beschreibung
If you run into issues deleting a dataset due to an existing reference and the goal is to reduce the number of dataset rows because the limit has been reached, a quick workaround is to empty the dataset rows by replacing it with one row of csv file data. Make sure you are able to open the dataset in "Edit" mode.

If the dataset is in another user's My Private app, login as the other user or clone the CRM Analytics Admin perm set and enable the Manage CRM Analytics Private Assets permission.

Lösung
Warning: This process will replace the dataset rows. To restore the original, you need to run the source recipe or dataflow or whatever job or file upload that originally created the dataset. Salesforce is not responsible for any lost dataset data.

Follow these steps to replace dataset rows.

1. Create a csv file with one column and one row.
2. Enter any column header.
3. Enter one row of data.
4. Save it as a csv file.
5. Open Data Manager from the App Launcher.
6. Select Data Assets and open the dataset.
7. Click the Replace Dataset icoReplace Data button.
8. Select the csv file created in step 1 and follow the rest of the steps.
9. After the file upload, explore the dataset to verify there's only one row of data.
10. Ignore any email (if any) mentioning there was an error in the XMD.
11. Verify dataset row usage from Data Manager > Usage or Setup > Analytics > Getting Started.

Notes:

If dataset rows limit is still exceeded, see Have I exceeded my dataset row limit, and what can I do about it? for other ways to reduce dataset rows.

If deleting the dataset is still needed and you're unable to, open a Salesforce case from the Help portal. Provide the dataset Id, Org Id (from Setup > Company Information) and grant login access .
