If you run into issues deleting a dataset in CRM Analytics due to an existing reference, and your goal is to reduce the number of dataset rows because the row limit has been reached, a quick workaround is to empty the dataset rows by replacing the dataset contents with a single row of CSV file data. Make sure you are able to open the dataset in "Edit" mode before proceeding.

This article explains how to reduce CRM Analytics dataset row usage by replacing the dataset contents with a single-row CSV file. Use this approach as a workaround when a dataset cannot be deleted due to existing references and the row limit has been reached.
Warning: This process replaces the dataset rows. To restore the original data, you must re-run the source recipe, dataflow, or the job or file upload that originally created the dataset. Salesforce is not responsible for any lost dataset data.
