Marketing Cloud Engagement entitlements are granted based on the edition or add-ons you purchase. Entitlements are designed to support marketing and platform performance best practices.
Please work with your Account Executive to determine your Engagement tenant entitlements and whether additional entitlements are necessary.

Purchasing additional Contacts credits your tenant with additional Contacts entitlements AND additional data extension storage, automation and API calls entitlements. For each unit of additional Contacts purchased, +0.01 GB of data extension storage, +25 automation, and +5,000 API calls are granted to your tenant for use.

It’s recommended to check your tenant’s usage of Contacts, Data Extension Storage, Automation, and API Calls monthly to ensure your data and processes are configured and working as expected. Be sure to set retention policies on data extensions, batch API calls where applicable, and plan out your automation schedules to stay within your feature entitlements.
