Slack for Service Cloud App Troubleshooting

Note: This article is pertinent to only the Service Cloud for Slack application. 


There are several different Salesforce and Slack apps and integrations if you're unsure which app your org is currently using please refer to the Identify Salesforce Slack Apps and Support article.

Salesforce Support is available to assist with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of the default flows provided with the Service Cloud for Slack app. In addition, we have created the following video to walk you through the Set Up Slack.

If the provided default flows are edited or cloned, customers are encouraged to log a case using the Service Flow product and topic via the Help Portal.


Common issues and troubleshooting steps:

If you need additional assistance or are encountering errors within the Slack for Service Cloud app or Salesforce, please log a case and verify or include the following information in the case description:

Confirm that you are a Standard System Administrator and the Slack Admin. If not, please include Salesforce and Slack admins as case collaborators.

1. What is your Slack Plan (Free, Pro, Business+ or Enterprise Grid)?

2. What is the Slack Workspace ID/Team ID?  The Slack Workspace ID/Team ID starts with a 'T'. Each Workspace within an Enterprise Grid has it's own 'T' number. You can ask your Slack Admin for the number specific to your Workspace or you can find the Workspace/Team ID in the browser URL path after opening slack in a browser here:​​​​​

3. Please provide the error message and/or a screenshot of the error and detailed steps taken up to encountering the unexpected behavior.

4. Was this functionality working previously?

5. For Slack connection issues, have you connected to the app with a different org such as a sandbox?
