When experiencing difficulty connecting the Service Cloud for Slack App, the following steps may help resolve this issue.

Lösning

Error: "You don't have the user permissions to access this Slack app. For help, contact your Salesforce admin"

    1. In the Salesforce Org, go to Setup > Initial Slack Setup and verify the Terms & Conditions have been checked.
    2. Verify that the user has the Slack Service user permission assigned to their profile.
    3. Verify the user has the Service User checked on their profile.
    4. If the customer has the above verified and receives the same error, they need to contact their Slack Admin to verify if they have permission to install the app to the workspace.

Error: "You do not have the appropriate permissions to install this app on this Workspace. Please reach out to one of your App Managers if you'd like additional information, or to ask them to install this app."

    1. Confirm all four steps in the first error above.
    2. Slack integration is exclusively supported for regular Slack users. Guests are classified as restricted users and are not supported for integration. Clients may convert guest users to regular Slack users to enable Slack integration functionality.

Error: "It looks like you already connected this Slack user to another Salesforce account."
Note: If the Slack Workspace was connected to a Sandbox which was refreshed prior to the connections being removed, you need to create a Support case to remove the stuck routing.

    1. See: Disconnect Slack from Salesforce
    2. If you do not see the 'revoke' button within the Slack App, reach out to your Slack Admin to remove the app.
    3. Once the connections have been removed, try to reconnect to the Service for Slack App. If you receive an error when trying to reconnect, you may be using SSO and need to either clear your cache or go to an incognito window and use the appropriate direct link.
      1. Direct Service for Slack Link for Production Orgs: https://login.salesforce.com/slack/slack-connect?appId=A01RDL2NJAH
