What is the significance of enabling Data 360 in a Salesforce Org?
Data 360 serves as a central hub for your data ecosystem. When enabled on a Salesforce org, it can ingest and unify data from multiple sources. Enterprise-level data modelers and data architects can use Data 360 to establish a single source of truth (SSOT) for all business units across one or more Salesforce orgs. Selecting the right architecture before enabling Data 360 and connecting data sources requires thoughtful planning by your org. We strongly recommend planning your Data 360 strategy before you get started.
What should I consider when planning the Data 360 architecture for my Salesforce ecosystem?
To make an informed decision, consider these factors.
If I have multiple Salesforce Orgs, should I set up Data 360 in all of them?
Where to set up Data 360, and how many instances of Data 360 you should set up, depends on your data architecture and data residency requirements.
Should I create a new Salesforce org for the Data 360 or enable it on an existing production org?
Consider whether it makes sense to separate Data 360 functionality and users.
If you choose to create a new org on which to enable Data 360, you can do so in either of these ways.
