The Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is a standardized form to document a product’s conformance with accessibility standards. The VPAT is used for creation of Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) describing the accessibility of a product’s features. Our ACRs are completed both internally and through third-party vendors. Our ACRs use the International edition of the VPAT, which includes the standards with which we align our products.
The most current ACRs for all Salesforce products (including Tableau, MuleSoft, and Slack) are hosted on our Product Accessibility Status page at https://www.salesforce.com/company/legal/508_accessibility/.
Tip: Use Ctrl + F (Windows) or Cmd + F (Mac) on the status page to quickly find specific products like "Education Cloud," "Sales Cloud," or "Tableau".
When reviewing an ACR, Salesforce uses the following standard terminology to describe the "Level of Support":
Supports: The functionality of the product has at least one method that meets the criterion without known defects.
Partially Supports: Some functionality of the product does not meet the criterion.
Does Not Support: The majority of product functionality does not meet the criterion.
Not Applicable: The criterion is not relevant to the product.
While many questions can be answered by the public reports, please contact accessibility@salesforce.com if you require:
Missing or Updated Reports: If you cannot find a specific product or require a version more recent than what is posted.
Interpretation Guidance: Clarification on remarks shared on our ACR’s for example remarks associated with “Partially Supports” or how a specific criterion affects your unique use case.
Conformance Deep-Dives: Detailed information on our overarching accessibility strategy or roadmap for specific compliance gaps.
Contractual Documentation: Requests for signed or specific versions of ACRs required for legal or procurement processes.
