Sales Dialer uses Twilio as its telephony provider. If you plan to migrate to another softphone solution (for example, Dialpad), your existing phone numbers must first be released from Twilio.

This release allows the new provider to take ownership of the numbers and complete the migration process.

Résolution

Phone numbers used in Sales Dialer are managed through Twilio and cannot be released directly by customers. The release process must be initiated through Salesforce Support.

To proceed:

  1. Log a case with Salesforce Support
  2. Clearly state that you want to release Sales Dialer phone numbers from Twilio
  3. Reference this article in your case for context
  4. Provide required details (such as affected phone numbers and target provider, if available)

Salesforce Support will coordinate the release process with Twilio to enable migration to your new provider.
