Custom Domain URLs for Experience Cloud Sites Not Working in Sandbox (503 Site Not Found Error)

Udgivelsesdato: Jul 27, 2026
Beskrivelse

When a custom domain URL is configured for a Salesforce Experience Cloud site that originates in a Sandbox org, users navigating to that custom URL may receive a "503 Site Not Found" error.
This typically occurs when the custom domain's associated org setting becomes misaligned — for example, after a sandbox refresh, sandbox copy, or org configuration change. The resolution involves toggling the associated org assignment in the Production org's Domains configuration to force a refresh of the domain mapping.

Løsning

To restore the custom domain URL functionality for your Sandbox Experience Cloud site, follow these steps in your Production org:

  1. Log in to your Production org.
  2. Navigate to Setup > Quick Find > Domains and open the Domains page.
  3. Click on your custom domain name.
  4. On the Domain Detail page, click Edit.
  5. Change the "Associated Org" field value from your Dev sandbox to any other available sandbox. Save and activate.
  6. Wait 1–2 minutes.
  7. Edit the custom domain again and change the "Associated Org" field back to your Dev sandbox. Save and activate.
  8. The custom domain URL should now resolve correctly in your Dev sandbox org.
