Should I continue to use the release updates section of the release notes?
Yes. The Salesforce Release Notes continue to be the source of truth for all Salesforce features including release updates. However, the Salesforce Release Updates Inventory may provide an earlier notification of changes in advance of the release notes being updated.
What status can a release update have?
New: Salesforce publishes a new release update.
Enabled: Salesforce has enabled but not enforced the update. Admins can disable.
Enforced: Salesforce has enforced the update.
