Scheduling Service Intelligence Data Refreshes Manually

Date de publication: Aug 26, 2024
Description

For Service Intelligence, it is recommended that you schedule a daily app refresh. The daily refresh includes running the data transforms and updating the datasets.

If you have a need to refresh the app data multiple times a day, you can run or schedule the data transforms manually.

For Service Intelligence, there are 5 batch data transforms:

  • SI_User
  • SI_Survey
  • SI_Case
  • SA_AW_ASP
  • SI_Conversations

If you run or schedule the batch data transforms in Data Cloud, you MUST run them in the order listed above.

Manual Run

In the Data Cloud app, select the Data Transforms tab, and view the All Data Transforms list.

For each of these data transforms, click next to the data transform name, and select Schedule. For the Run Mode, select Manual and then click Save. Let each data transform complete, then run the next one. You must run all 5 data transforms to update all of the datasets for Service Intelligence.

Scheduled Run

Remove the app refresh schedule. This automated schedule should not exist if individual batch data transforms are scheduled. You can’t use automated schedules for both the app refresh and the batch data transforms. These schedules will overlap and potentially create a loop where data refreshes are always in progress.

In the Data Cloud app, select the Data Transforms tab, and view the All Data Transforms list. For each of these data transforms, click next to the data transform name, and select Schedule. For the Run Mode, select Scheduled. Set the hourly frequency, the start time, and the days you want the data transform to run.

You must schedule the data transforms to run sequentially, in the list order above. Order matters and all 5 data transforms must run to update all of the datasets for Service Intelligence.

Notes

  • The batch data transform runs based on the time zone of the user who sets the schedule.
  • If a batch data transform is running at the time another one is scheduled to begin, the next one is skipped. After the earlier batch data transform completes, the following one runs at the next scheduled interval.
  • Run start times are converted to GMT +- 00:00. Each day, runs are scheduled based on the converted time and the interval that you select. To run your data transform at the expected start time, adjust it to the number of hours that your time zone is ahead or behind GMT. If the number of hours crosses a date boundary, adjust the start day accordingly. For example, Japan is GMT+9. To run a batch data transform starting at 5 AM (local time) on Monday, set the start time to 2 PM (local time) on Sunday
