Users in MFA-enabled organizations must set a password and connect a verification method at initial login. Learn how to configure this using Advanced User Details.
1. Click the link in the "Welcome to Salesforce" email to set your password.
2. Set a password and confirm that you can log in.
3. Connect an MFA verification method.
3-1. Click the profile icon in the upper right corner > Settings.
3-2. Enter "Advanced User Details" in the Quick Find box, then select Advanced User Details.
3-3. Proceed with registration using one of the following methods:
Third-party Authenticator App (TOTP): Click Connect next to App Registration: One-Time Password Authenticator.
Security Key: Click Register next to Security Key (U2F or WebAuthn).
Built-in Authenticator: Click Add in the Built-in Authenticators section at the bottom.
