Setting Up MFA Verification Methods for New Users

1. Click the link in the "Welcome to Salesforce" email to set your password.

• Note: If clicking the link opens the login screen instead of the password setup screen, the system administrator must reset the user's password to resend the password setup link.

2. Set a password and confirm that you can log in.

3. Connect an MFA verification method.

　　3-1. Click the profile icon in the upper right corner   > Settings.

　　3-2. Enter "Advanced User Details" in the Quick Find box, then select Advanced User Details.

　　3-3. Proceed with registration using one of the following methods:

• • Salesforce Authenticator: Click Connect next to App Registration: Salesforce Authenticator.

  • Third-party Authenticator App (TOTP): Click Connect next to App Registration: One-Time Password Authenticator.

  • Security Key: Click Register next to Security Key (U2F or WebAuthn).

  • Built-in Authenticator: Click Add in the Built-in Authenticators section at the bottom.
