Descripción

This Knowledge Base article describes the cause and resolution of an issue where users do not appear in the list when assigning roles to specific users in B2C Commerce's Business Manager.

Solución

In order to assign a role to a user in Business Manager, the user must exist in Business Manager under Administration > Organization > Users.

If the user does not exist in Administration > Organization > Users, the troubleshooting steps are as follows:

  1. Check to see if the target user exists in the Account Manager organization. If the user does not exist, please refer to the following document to create a new user in Account Manager.
Creating User Accounts in B2C Commerce

  2. Check if the “Business Manager User” or “Business Manager Administrator” role and the scope of the target Business Manager environment (Instance Filter) are assigned to the user account in Account Manager. Check if the appropriate permissions have been granted to the user account in Account Manager. If the appropriate permissions have not been granted in there, please refer to the help document above for details. For more information on each role, check the following knowledge articles.

  3. Check to see if the user has already logged in once. After creating users in Account Manager and granting them the appropriate permissions, they must log in to the target Business Manager. Logging in will automatically create a user in Business Manager and link that user's information to the Account Manager user information.

When the above three steps have been completed, the user will appear in Business Manager under Administration > Organization > Users and roles can be assigned to the user.
