How Einstein Product Recommendation works in B2C Commerce storefront

1. When a storefront page includes a content slot configured to display a recommender, the browser requests product recommendations from Einstein.
2. Einstein responds with a list of recommended products.
3. Based on the recommendation response from Einstein, the browser calls an internal controller named CQRecomm-Start against the B2C Commerce instance. When CQRecomm-Start is invoked, the platform checks the availability of the recommended products.
4. The content slot is then rendered accordingly. Only the orderable recommended products are passed to the ISML template of the content slot via the "slotcontent.content" variable.

Prerequisites

• Einstein must be deployed in the Production instance (i.e., catalog and order feeds must be configured).
• The Einstein Recommender must be created via the Einstein Configurator.
• A content slot must be configured to display the Einstein Recommender.
