Einstein Bot dialogs have a built-in loop protection limit of 200 iterations. When a dialog is configured to automatically redirect or invoke itself without waiting for user input, it can become stuck in an infinite loop and trigger the error "Maximum loop count of 201 reached" after exceeding this limit.
The error is displayed at iteration 201 because the loop counter increments to 201 before the system enforces the 200-iteration limit.
To resolve the error "Maximum loop count of 201 reached", the loop must be explicitly broken by incorporating a rule condition that triggers the next step to "wait for customer input" or by using a question element that pauses the execution and waits for a response.
