Partners accepted into the Consulting Partner Program must meet and maintain the program's minimum requirements to complete registration and remain active. This FAQ outlines the deactivation criteria, reactivation processes, and how to meet the necessary qualifications to maintain partnership status.

This FAQ is intended for Salesforce Partners in the Consulting Program. It applies to both provisional and tiered partners and outlines necessary steps to maintain or regain active partnership status.

1. What are the reasons for partner deactivation in the Consulting Partner Program?

Partners may be deactivated for failing to meet the program's minimum requirements:

  • Provisional Partners: If minimum requirements are not met the partner risks being downgraded and/or removed from the program.

  • Tiered Partners (Select / Summit): These partners are reviewed regularly. Partners failing to meet requirements risk being downgraded and/or removed from the program.

2. What are the minimum program requirements for the Consulting Partner Program?

To become a Consulting Partner, you meet one of the following options:

  • Option 1: 2 Certifications + 1 Stage 2 Lead

  • Option 2: 3 Stage 2 Leads

  • Option 3: 2 Certifications + 2 Qualified Projects

 

Definitions:

  • Certification Eligibility:  The certification is accepted by the Partner Program and the status is in either "Active", "Current", or "Maintenance Due". All learners are counted towards the Partner Summary account linked in their Trailhead account.

  • Stage 2 Lead Eligibility:  The lead must be converted into Stage 2 Date in the current or previous fiscal year.

  • Qualified Project Eligibility:  The project must have an End Date in the current or previous fiscal year.  The project must also have a validated Customer Org ID or non-core ID equivalent.

Once the minimum program requirements are met, the deactivated Partner will be readmitted into the Program on a non-provisional basis and will be assigned to the “Select” tier of the Consulting Partner Program.  The reactivation of a  partner can take up to a week to process.  For questions regarding the minimum requirements, visit this FY27 Consulting Program Minimum Requirements FAQ.  If you still haven't advanced after 7 days from meeting requirements, please open a case in the Partner Community.

  • Review the program minimum requirements regularly to ensure you maintain compliance.

  • Example of Partner Reactivation: A deactivated partner updates their Pearson profile with the required credentials in February, thereby they now meet one of the 3 Minimum Requirement Options and their partnership status will be automatically restored within 7 days.
