Prediction Writeback Field with Error 'sObject type ‘CustomField’ is not supported.'

When attempting to 'Create a prediction field' for an Automated Prediction Writeback with a Deployed Model in CRM Analytics a User may encounter the error:

 

sObject type ‘CustomField’ is not supported. If you are attempting to use a custom object, be sure to append the '__c' after the entry name. Please reference your WSDL or the describe call for the appropriate names.

 

This error occurs when a User does not have the necessary permission to use the feature. 

Risoluzione

To resolve this ensure that the "Customize Application" permission is assigned via Profile or is included in a Permission Set assignment. This is needed to create or change custom fields.

Please find the below steps to assign "Customize Application" permission.

 

  1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users, and then select Users.
  2. Click the user who you want to assign the permission set license to.
  3. In the Permission Set License Assignments related list, select Edit Assignments.
  4. Enable Customize Application, and click Save.
  5. Click the user who you want to assign the permission set to.
  6. Save your changes.
