SUMMARY

How to quickly install Flex Gateway as Linux Service (Connected Mode) and activate it ?

SOLUTION

Login to Anypoint Platform > Runtime Manger > Flex Gateway > Add Flex Gateway > Click on Linux > Select Flavor of Linux - you must see all instructions about setting up your Flex Gateway as Linux Service till starting the Installed service. This instructions already includes the activation data, org id and other details specific to you/your org. You may just have to copy and execute them based on the flavor of Linux os you are installing on.

Please do make sure that the linux os you are using is one of the Mulesoft supported - https://docs.mulesoft.com/gateway/1.4/flex-review-prerequisites#software-requirements-for-linux-deployments

This must completes, activates the flex-gateway installation in connected mode, and now you must see the instance as "Connected" in Runtime Manager.

If the installation is done and Flex Gateway is reflecting in Runtime Manager, but the instance is not showing "connected", then
Please check what the below command output shows from your Linux machine where Flex Gateway is installed ?
  • sudo systemctl status flex-gateway  --->  this must show flex gateway as active, else you can use "sudo systemctl start flex-gateway" and "sudo systemctl enable flex-gateway" to start and enable the service.
  • systemctl list-units flex-gateway*
