How can I use older license from an old Mule Runtime Server on a New Mule Runtime Server?

How can we add the new Mule Runtime server and use the existing license from the old server to test if everything is working as expected.
If we can, how long are the Mule licenses valid for the new server?

It is possible to use the old ‘existing’ Mule Runtime license from the old server.  Mule Runtime Licenses can be used on multiple servers at once. The old license will be valid until the license expiration date (same as it would be on the old server). Since you will be using an older installed license, you will not need to run the 'mule -installLicense' for this.

Here are the steps to follow to use a Mule Runtime license on a new server:

1. Under the older server, go to the {MULE_HOME}/conf/ and copy the 'muleLicenseKey.lic' file
2. To verify the validity of the license, go to the MuleSoft License Verifier application. https://mulelicenseverifier.cloudhub.io/
3. Select your license and click on Verify.
4. If the license is fine, it will show you the license information. Please verify that the information is correct.
5. Once you have verified the information, you can download the digested license from the link 'Download digested license' or you can use the original file from the older server.
6. Copy the downloaded digested license or the original file to the new {MULE_HOME}/conf/ of the Mule instance where the license needs to be installed.
7. To verify it has been installed, run 'mule -verifyLicense' under the bin folder of the new MRT server. Once verified, you can attempt to start. You should see the license details.
