How to connect to a CloudHub VPC via Direct Connect Hosted Connections

Veröffentlichungsdatum: Aug 6, 2025
Aufgabe

GOAL

Establish connectivity with a CloudHub VPC via AWS Direct Connect (DX), using a Hosted Connection.

A Hosted Connection is a physical Ethernet connection that an AWS Direct Connect Partner provisions on your behalf. You may request a Hosted Connection by contacting a partner in the AWS Partner Network (APN), who provisions the connection.

For connectivity via AWS Direct Connect using a Virtual Interface (VIF), instead of a Hosted Connection, refer to: How to connect to a CloudHub VPC via Direct Connect Virtual Interfaces

Schritte

1. Create the Connection Request

a) Create a Hosted Connection through your APN. Instructions may differ between APN partners, so please refer to their documentation for further guidance. We have included the links for some APN partners below.
  • For VPCs in the US management plane use account ID 494141260463
  • For VPCs in the EU management plane use account ID 655988475869
  • For VPCs in GovCloud, please contact Mulesoft Support.
Note: You are using the EU management plane if you login to Anypoint via eu1.anypoint.mulesoft.com
b) Download the VPC Discovery Form
  • Fill out the Overview tab - specify one VPC where you wish to make changes.
  • To request connectivity to multiple VPCs, create one copy of the form per VPC.
  • Fill out the Direct Connect tab - you only need to complete the bottom section, titled: Complete this section if you have created a Connection (dxcon).

2. Create a Support Case in the MuleSoft Support Portal

a) Create a case and attach the completed VPC Discovery Form.
b) The MuleSoft Support Engineer will use the information provided in the VPC Discovery Form to provision the connection.
c) The MuleSoft Support Engineer will update the support case to confirm the provisioning tasks are complete. The SLA for this is 5 business day from when the form has been accepted by Support, but will often be completed sooner.

3. Enable BGP

a) Bring up the BGP session. Instructions may differ between APN partners, so please refer to their documentation for further guidance. We have included the links for some APN partners below.
b) Follow How to View the VPC Route Table via the UI to confirm the routes are being advertised to the MuleSoft peer as expected.

4. Test Connectivity

a) Follow How to Verify VPC Connectivity using Direct Connect to validate the new connection.
