QUESTION1

Why there is not a close job operation for the Salesforce connector operation "Create job bulk API v2.0"?

ANSWER1

For the MuleSoft Salesforce connector If the operation used is "Create job bulk API v2.0", then there's no need for the "Close Job" operation to be performed explicitly because it closes the job automatically once the data is uploaded.

QUESTION2

What are the steps performed that lead to the closing of a Job created using Salesforce connector operation "Create job bulk API v2.0"?

ANSWER2

Below are the steps performed under the operation "Create job bulk API v2.0":

  • A job is created.
  • Specified data gets uploaded.
  • Job is automatically closed (so that the processing starts).

QUESTION3

Salesforce Bulk Create 2.0 upserts 10K records at once in Salesforce, is there any to control the number of records to be upserted?

ANSWER3

Please refer to the documentation - https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.salesforce_app_limits_cheatsheet.meta/salesforce_app_limits_cheatsheet/salesforce_app_limits_platform_bulkapi.htm
When using Bulk V2 2.0 api batches are created for you automatically. All you do is send the data to be processed and api handles creating batches.
So, there is no such option to specify a batch size. The same applies if you call Bulk V2 salesforce api from the postman or any other client.

Note: In the "Create job bulk API v2.0" operation, you can only upload data to a job a single time, that’s why the 3 operations mentioned above don't have to be separated as they work in conjunction.
