MuleSoft Error "GATEWAY TIMEOUT" occurs while using HTTP Connector in Composer as demonstrated in this screenshot.
In addition, the HTTP Connector for MuleSoft Composer is being used to configure an API Key authentication type whereby the application needs to first hit the token endpoint with a given request and retrieve another token for further usage.
Below an example of the first call made to obtain the token:

This special authentication mechanism and not a classic API Key authentication. is not supported by MuleSoft Composer.
