Opportunity Line Item Schedule Amount Behavior When No Schedule Defined

게시 일자: Apr 30, 2026
상세 설명

In reports such as Opportunities With Products and Schedules, the Schedule Amount field may display a value even when no schedules are created for an Opportunity Line Item.

This behavior is expected, as the field dynamically calculates values based on whether schedules exist.

솔루션

The Schedule Amount field behaves differently depending on whether schedules are defined.

When Schedules Are Defined

  • The Schedule Amount reflects the amount per schedule record
  • Each schedule entry displays its individual portion of the total

Example:

  • Product Price = $100
  • Quantity = 1
  • Payment Schedule = 4 installments

Result:

  • 4 schedule records created
  • Each shows $25
  • Report displays Schedule Amount as $25 (repeated 4 times)

When No Schedules Are Defined

  • The Schedule Amount is calculated as:
    Sales Price × Quantity

Example:

  • Sales Price = $100
  • Quantity = 2
  • No schedule defined

Result:

  • Schedule Amount = $200

Key Takeaway

  • Schedule Amount always displays a value:
    • Per schedule record when schedules exist
    • Total line item value when no schedules exist
