Tableau Cloud Proactive Monitoring Alert: Site Storage Capacity

Your Tableau Cloud site comes with capacity to support all your users’ analytic needs. A site’s capacity includes capacity for storing all of the content published to it by users, including (but not limited to) workbooks, data sources, flows, and any extracted data they may contain.

The Signature Success plan’s Proactive Monitoring product will monitor for, and alert you to, high consumption against this limit. This article outlines some scenarios to help you investigate should you receive an alert from Proactive Monitoring related to this limit.

If you receive an alert from the Proactive Monitoring service related to this metric, your organization may experience issues related to extract refreshes and flow executions, and your users may be unable to publish new content to your site.

Causes:

Some common causes for high limit usage, or limit exhaustion, are:

• The accumulation of older and unused content
• Users publishing new, large content to the site
• An increase in data from databases being refreshed in Tableau extracts
