Troubleshooting the error occurring when trying to access Page Designer for the B2C Commerce platform

Description

You might encounter the following error when trying to access Page Designer via Business Manager:

Something is stopping you from using Page Designer. Try opening the storefront and accepting the certificate manually. If you still can't use Page Designer, contact Salesforce Customer Support for help.

 

Resolution

Generate new keys via the process below:

  1. In Business Manager, click the User Profile icon to the upper right of the page.
  2. Click Manage Access Key.
  3. Click Generate Access Key.
  4. Select Protected Storefront Access from the drop-down menu, and click Generate.
  5. Save the alphanumeric string.
  6. Navigate back to Page Designer.
  7. A login pop-up should appear. Enter your login email address, and in the password field, paste the alphanumeric string from Step 5 above instead of your password used to log into Business Manager.

  • On which specific instance/s does this issue occur?
  • When did this issue start?
  • Is this error message intermittent or consistent?
  • Which user/s get/s this error message?
  • Is this issue replicable after clearing browser cache & cookies?
  • Have you tried restarting the affected instance/s on Control Center?
