The following Slack errors appear when a user tries to connect the Service Cloud for Slack app to a Slack Workspace.

(1) "There was an error authorizing, the user may lack the required permissions, or the action took too long to complete."

(2) "It looks like you already connected this user with another Slack account."

Solución

Users encounter this error in the Service Cloud for Slack app in two main scenarios:

Scenario 1 — Initial org connection must be done by the user who first connected the app

Only the user who originally connected the Slack app (for example, Service Cloud for Slack or Salesforce for Slack) to the Slack Workspace and its first Salesforce org can establish the initial connection to any additional (secondary) Salesforce orgs within the same Slack Workspace. Other users will not be able to connect the app to a secondary Salesforce org until that original user has completed the connection.

Scenario 2 — User lacks 'Manage Slack app organization connections' permission

If the user who connected the Service Cloud for Slack App to the Slack Workspace isn’t the Slack Admin and lacks the 'Manage Slack app organization connections' permission, create a Permission Set. Then, enable 'Manage Slack app organization connections for Slack apps' under System Permissions.
