Cases with Predefined Case Team report shows rows for each member of the case team for the same case

Udgivelsesdato: May 12, 2026
Beskrivelse

When generating a report on Predefined Case Teams,  the Case Number record appears multiple times. This occurs because there are multiple entries for each member within the Predefined Case Teams. These extra rows can lead to unnecessary repetition.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Login to the org
  2. Setup > Report Types
  3. New report type with primary object Cases and secondary object Predefined Case Team
  4. Create Predefined Case Team and assign members in it.
  5. Assign the Predefined Case Team to a Case
  6. Go in Reports
  7. Create new report created using report type (3)
  8. On Group Rows use "Name"
  9. Save and Run
  10. In the report for a specific Predefined Case Team (4) you will notice the same case (5) multi times based on the numbers of members in it.
Løsning

This is working as per the design since the cases are linked to team members based on relationship in the custom report type. The object used in the report type is indeed Case Team Members.

Workaround:

An alternative to accomplish the desired outcome is to create a simple 'Case' report and add cross filter 'Cases with Predefined Case Teams'.
