How to union data sources that are not Excel, Google Sheets or text based data sources?

There are some possible workarounds for establishing a Union for data sources that are not Excel, Google Sheets or text files:
  1. Create an extract of the first table and append the second table to it. Please note that refreshing the connection will remove the appended table
  2. Use custom SQL to perform a union between the desired tables
  3. Mirror the data sources onto different Excel sheets
