Upon saving a workbook via web edit with the same workbook name that exists in another Project(s) and Recycle Bin, some numbers are added at the end of the workbook name/URL. Why does this happen?
For example:
https://online.tableau.com/#/site/xxxxx/views/test/overview
is saved as:
https://online.tableau.com/#/site/xxxxx/views/test_13448375344832/overview
To avoid the conflict in URLs, Tableau adds some numbers at the end of the workbook's URL if there is already a workbook with the same name in another Project and Recycle Bin within the same Site on Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud. The name of the workbook needs to be unique within a site.
To reset/resolve the URL with numbers added, remove all the workbooks with the same name and republish them with unique name for each workbook.
