How to set an upper limit for data processing in Tableau when connected with BigQuery.

Trinn
The ability to set a limit on data processing in Tableau Desktop is currently not built in the product yet.

But there are two workarounds that may limit the amount of data processing in Google BigQuery:

1. Use custom SQL to get only the columns you need.
When connecting to BigQuery, instead of retrieving all columns from the data source, you can retrieve only the columns you need for your analysis.
This will reduce the amount of data processing on the BigQuery side.

For more details about custom SQL, please refer to the following online help.

2. Create an Extract.
Extract allows you to store and manipulate data locally to avoid pulling the data from BigQuery every time.
