How to check the expiration date of the Server ATR activation duration before shutting down or setting a test server/virtual machine (VM) offline for maintenance.

To confirm the TTL End, run the following commands:

On Windows:  
(Command is in \Program Files\Tableau Server\packages\customer-bin.<build number>, you need this only if it's not in your default PATH)
     atrdiag -product "Tableau Server"

On Linux:
(Command is in /opt/tableau/tableau_server/packages/customer-bin.<build number>/ , you need this only if it's not in your default PATH)
     ./atrdiag -product "Tableau Server"

On a Linux container, there is a container switch required:
     ./atrdiag -product "Tableau Server" -container

  • TTL Start: the date and time when the ATR activation was last refreshed.
  • TTL End: the date and time when the ATR activation will end if not refreshed.
  • Renew Validity Start: the date and time when the renewal attempt begins.
  • Renew Validity End: The date and time when the renewal attempt ends.

  • Please note that when the Tableau Services Manager (TSM) Processes are down or kept offline, once the TTL End date has been reached, Tableau Server will become unlicensed.
