As the default filtering in Tableau is "AND" when using multiple filters, in order to use OR as a condition, follow the below steps
1. Create parameters for dimension values like Category and subcategory below 2. Create a calculation like below: [Category]=[Parameters].[Category] or [Sub-Category]=[subcat] 3. Drag to Filters and select True
