Showing Empty Columns Keeps Filtered Dates

How to show the blank columns only for the date range specified by a date filter.

Add the date filter to context:
  1. Show the empty columns by selecting Analysis > Table Layout > Show Empty Columns.
  2. Right-click the date field on the Filter shelf.
  3. Select Add to Context.
