How to use filter actions to filter target dashboards without automatically opening the target dashboards.

Use a quick filter and apply it to multiple worksheets. For more information, see Apply Filters to Multiple Worksheets in Tableau Help.

Change the action filter to a global action filter:

In Tableau Desktop, open the worksheet that is being filtered.
On Filters, right-click the filter action, and then select Apply to Worksheets > All Using This Data Source.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for all worksheets filtered by the filter action.

Note: Filter actions on the Filters shelf begin with the word "Action."
