Is there a command to check the setting value of the option under menu [Help] > [Settings and Performance] > [Enable Automatic Product Updates]

This setting value of this option could be checked in the following registry registry.
(eg: for WINDOWS)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tableau\Tableau <version>\AutoUpdate

Below is a command to check the registry value.
e.g. 
PS H:\> reg query "HKLM\Software\Tableau\Tableau 2020.3\AutoUpdate" /v AutoUpdateAllowed

To check the value manually here are the steps.

 

  1. As an administrator on the computer where Tableau is installed, make a backup of the registry file before you make any changes to it.

  2. Open the registry editor (regedit.exe).

  3. Navigate to the following registry path:

    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tableau\Tableau <version>.

    For example Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tableau\Tableau 2021.34.
