How to export a crosstab from Tableau Server to .xls or .xlsx.
Steg
  1. Open the view on Tableau Server, and then select Download > Crosstab.
  2. Open the resulting .csv file in Microsoft Excel.
  3. In Excel, save the file with a .xls or .xlsx file extension.

The dashboard extensions feature, which increase dashboard functionality with custom objects created by third-party developers, was introduced in Tableau 2018.2. One such dashboard extension is Export All by The Information Lab, which allows dashboard creators to place a button onto a dashboard, choose which sheets and columns are exported, and enable end users to download an Excel workbook containing the data from the dashboard.
