Sharing Administrative Views with Non-Administrators

How to give non-administrative users access to the Tableau Server administrative views.
Vaiheet

Connect to the Tableau Server database and create custom administrative views:

  1. Enable access to the Tableau Server database and then connect to the database from Tableau Desktop. For more information, see Create Custom Administrative Views in Tableau Help.
  2. Create a workbook that pulls the desired data from Tableau Server.
  3. Publish the workbook to Tableau Server. For more information, see Publishing to Tableau Server in Tableau Help.
Lisäresurssit
The ability to grant access to the Tableau Server administrative views to non-administrative users is not currently built into the product.
